富贵花开满园春Peonies in Bloom, Spring Fills the Garden (on card)

A small painting on card. A garden rock stands at the centre, rubbed in with the side of a dark-ink brush, mottled and dotted with green moss. Peonies open around it: a pale blue-green bloom at the top, cool in tone; two large peach-red flowers in the middle, their petals shaded layer by layer around thick golden stamens; and a soft pink one below. The leaves are dark green, veined in ink and brightened with mineral green, and buds stand up at the stem tips. Red, green and ink are the three colours of the card, bright yet steady.

The title at the upper left reads “Peonies of wealth in bloom, spring fills the garden”, a wish for good fortune and a flourishing home; the same title appears on a hanging scroll in this collection, each with its own character.

此为卡纸小品。湖石一块立于画中，以浓墨侧锋擦出，石纹斑驳，苔点石绿；牡丹数朵绕石而开，上部浅青一朵，色调清冷，中部桃红大朵两枚，花瓣层层分染，金黄花蕊饱满，下部粉红一朵，含蓄温婉。叶以墨绿写出，叶脉浓墨勾勒，石绿点醒，枝头花苞挺立。全幅以红、绿、墨三色为主，明丽而沉稳。

左上题“富贵花开满园春”。牡丹花开，满园春色，寓富贵吉祥、家道兴旺。与本站所列同题立轴各有面目。
