十里荷香Lotus Fragrance for Ten Miles

A square sheet. A single lotus leaf, splashed in dark and pale ink with mineral green showing through, lies across the foot of the sheet, its stalks standing beneath. Above it a pink lotus is in full bloom, outlined, the rouge seeping in from the petal tips, its full seed-pod dotted green and yellow; on the right a seed-pod droops and a bud stands slender. A pair of kingfishers: one perches on a lotus stalk looking back and down, the other dives in from the upper right, blue-green backs and rust bellies, the fine spots on their feathers dotted in white, careful yet alive.

The title at the upper left reads “Lotus Fragrance for Ten Miles”, dated early autumn 2026: the scent of the lotus carried far as summer turns to autumn.

此为斗方。荷叶一张以浓淡墨泼成，平铺画底，墨中透出石绿，叶下数茎叶柄挺立；其上粉荷一朵盛放，花瓣双钩，胭脂由瓣尖晕入，莲蓬饱满，点以石绿与黄；右侧莲蓬一枚低垂，花苞一枝挺秀。翠鸟一双，一只立于荷梗回首下望，一只自右上俯冲而来，翠背赭腹，羽上细点以白粉点出，工致而灵动。

左上题“十里荷香”，款署丙午初秋。荷香远播，写夏去秋来时荷塘的清芬与生机。
