彩绘萱草蜂飞Painted Basin: Daylilies and Bees

A painted object. The vessel is a white oval basin; the picture is painted on its floor, and the plain rim frames it like a natural oval mount. On it a clump of daylilies sweeps up its long dark green leaves, with several red flowers in full bloom and yellow hearts, beside an ink rock dotted with green moss, while three bees fly in at the top, drawn with fine care.

The basin has no title; this one describes the picture. The daylily, also called the flower that makes one forget sorrow, stands for a mother’s love; bees among the flowers bring spring.

此为彩绘器物。器形为白色椭圆盆，画面绘于盆底，四周盆沿留白，如一方天然的椭圆画框。盆底绘萱草一丛，长叶以墨绿撇出，红花数朵怒放，花瓣朱红，花心点黄；左侧一方墨石，石绿苔点；画顶蜜蜂三只振翅而来，工致细巧，盆中顿生春意。

此盆未题画名，题目依画意拟定。萱草又名忘忧草，寓母爱与无忧；蜂飞花间，写春日生机。
