草书二字扇面Two Characters in Cursive Script (calligraphy fan)

A calligraphy fan. Two large characters in cursive script are set side by side across the middle of the sheet, read from right to left, broad in form and quick in movement. The right-hand character bends a long vertical like a drawn bow, with dry, streaked strokes where the brush ran low on ink; the left-hand one drives a long diagonal down through itself and coils its right half in linked loops, so the pair answer each other, one open, one gathered.

A short line of small characters, the signature and a square seal stand at lower left, with an oblong seal at the right. A fan sheet is wide at the top and narrow at the bottom, and the writing must follow its curve; here just two characters fill it, with generous white paper around them.

此为书法扇面。中部以草书写大字二个，自右至左横列，字形开张，笔势奔放。右字竖画如弓，弧势内含，横画飞白隐现，点画顾盼生姿；左字长撇斜贯而下，右部连环盘绕，收笔轻提。二字一放一收，相映成趣。左侧小字一行并署款，钤方印一枚，右侧另钤长方印一枚。

扇面上宽下窄，作字须顺其弧势安排。此作只书二字，留白宽绰，墨色浓重而行笔迅疾，用笔果决，不事雕琢。
