李菊梅Li Jumei
生于福建福安Born in Fu'an, Fujian
Li Jumei was born in Fu’an, Fujian, and lives in Hangzhou. She paints birds and flowers in ink and color, above all peonies and golden pheasants, and also writes calligraphy. Her paintings have won many gold and special gold awards in national competitions, and one is in the collection of the Hangzhou University for Retired Cadres and Staff.
李菊梅，福建福安人，今居浙江杭州。工设色花鸟，尤擅牡丹锦鸡，兼习书法。作品屡获全国性书画大赛金奖、特别金奖，并为杭州退休干部（职工）大学收藏。

Li Jumei paints birds and flowers in ink and color, joining careful and free brushwork: birds drawn feather by feather, peonies built up in soft layered washes, leaves and rocks set down more freely. Besides hanging scrolls, the works here include sets of hanging panels, square sheets, small pieces on card, fans (some of them calligraphy), fabric pictures and painted basins. Peonies and golden pheasants come most often; lotus ponds, wisteria, plum and bamboo, fruit and vegetables appear too.
其画以设色花鸟为主，兼工带写：禽鸟工细，翎毛历历可数；牡丹以没骨法层层渲染，丰腴润泽；枝叶坡石则信笔挥写，意态疏放。此间所辑，立轴之外，兼有条屏、斗方、卡纸小品、扇面、布艺与彩绘器物；题材以牡丹锦鸡为多，荷塘、紫藤、梅竹、蔬果亦时见笔端。
