About the painting 赏析
A folding fan. On the right half a flowering shrub spreads its branches, its blue-green leaves laid in without outline and dotted with small red buds; at the centre two peonies, a pink one above and a paler one below, are washed lightly so the colour blooms softly into the paper. Across the left the four characters “Peonies of wealth in bloom” are written large and open, woven in with the painting and following the curve of the ribs.
Dated autumn 2026. Painted on a fan one carries about, the peony of wealth goes along: open the fan, and good fortune opens with it.
此为折扇扇面。扇面右半一丛花木枝叶纷披，青绿叶片以没骨写出，枝头缀以点点红苞；中部牡丹两朵，一朵粉红在上，一朵淡粉在下，以淡彩轻染，晕化自然，柔美含蓄。左侧四字横题“富贵花开”，大字疏朗，与画面相互穿插，书画一体，随扇骨弧度展开，别有韵致。
款署丙午秋月。牡丹寓富贵，绘于随身折扇之上，取开扇见喜、富贵相随之意。
